Ron Yarwood, Esq.

Ron is a trial lawyer for the firm.  Ron's practice is limited to civil and criminal trial work.  He is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA).  The LCA is a lawyer honorary comprised of experienced trial lawyers throughout the United States.  Fellowship represents less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers and is by invitation only.
 
Ron has tried complex civil cases involving amounts in controversy in excess of one million dollars.  He has tried criminal cases ranging from Capital Murder (death penalty) and other high level felonies and misdemeanors.  He has represented individuals charged with "white collar crimes."
 
He is admitted to practice in Ohio, the United States District Court for Northeastern Ohio, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
 
Ron is involved in the legal community as a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and Mahoning County Bar Association.  He served on the Campaign Ethics Committee and Young Lawyer/Banquet Committee.  He was co-chairperson for the Young Lawyers/Banquet Committee (2001-2003) He is a Trustee for the Mahoning County Law Library.  He was the Chairperson of the Mahoning County Community-Based Correctional Facility Governing Board.  The board is the governing body for the regional Community-Based Correctional Facility.  He is a Life Member of Phi Delta Phi.  He was a recipient of the Lawyer of the Year Award (2008-2009) from the Mahoning County Bar Association.
 
Ron has lectured at the Youngstown State University Police Academy, several criminal law seminars, and has been a speaker at civil trial seminars.
 
He served in the United States Army (1987-1990) and served as a soldier in the 9th Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division (Light). 
 
     
Damian DeGenova, Esq.
Member
 
Damian practices primarily in corporate, business, and real estate transaction law.  He assists emerging businesses by creating corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships.  He also assists corporate clients in litigation and contract negotiations.
 
Damian holds a Title Agent Insurance License and is the principal in Capital Title Services, Inc. He assist clients in real estate transactions.
 
In addition to his corporate and real estate practice, Damian represents clients in juvenile cases, divorces, and custody matters.
 
Damian received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Kent State University. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Capital University.  While a law student at Capital University, Damian served as a Student Bar Association Representative for three years.  He was the first individual at Capital University to receive the Student Leadership Award.
 
Damian is involved in the legal community as a member of the Mahoning County Bar Association.  He serves on the Memorial Committee and Admissions Committee.
 
In addition to his involvement in the legal community, Damian serves on the Board of Trustees for the Italian Scholarship League.  He is the P.M. for the Poland Masonic Lodge #766 in Poland, Ohio.
 
 
 

Edward (Eddie) Czopur, Esq.

Eddie is the newest attorney at the firm.  He is a second generation lawyer.  He has followed in his father's footsteps into private practice.  His sister is also an attorney with the Seventh District Court of Appeals. 
 
Eddie graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor's of Science before going on to the University of Akron for Law School.  During this time in law school, Eddie clerked for the Honorable R. Scott Krichbaum in the Mahoning County Court of Common Pleas.  After receiving his Juris Doctorate, he successfully passed the bar in both Ohio and Georgia.  While continuing his clerkship, Eddie gained valuable experience working with area lawyers in the civil field before joining our firm.  He has strong interests in civil law (personal injury cases) and criminal defense work. 
 
Outside of the law, Eddie has spent a decade working with high school students in the field of public speaking.  During his tenure, he has garnered three state champions and three top ten finishes nationally.
